The Story of JF Boomerang
Family Passion
It all started with shared hours in the park: throwing boomerangs, experimenting with flight paths, and constantly testing new models. Long before JF Bumerang existed, this was our shared passion – as grandfather, father, and son.
The story continues at the next Annual Point :).
Then came Corona
In the middle of the 2021 Corona pandemic, we suddenly had a lot of time. Travel had become impossible – so we used the time to turn our shared hobby into something more. That's how the idea for JF Bumerang came about: to share our enthusiasm for boomerang throwing with others. In April 2021, we founded the father-son manufactory JF Bumerang – and a dream became reality.
A real company
Even today, every one of our boomerangs contains exactly what has inspired us from the very beginning: the joy of movement, time spent outdoors, and the satisfaction of a perfectly returning flight. Passing on this enthusiasm is still our mission today – in the form of a JF Boomerang, which we hope you'll soon hold in your own hands.
A hobby that we share
We do not want to become a mass producer in the future either. What remains important to us: the love of craftsmanship, the joy of throwing ourselves, and personal contact with you as a customer. That's what has characterized JF Bumerang from the very beginning – and that's how it should stay.
How to create your boomerang

Our goal is to make the perfect boomerang from the perfect material.
We achieve this through passion: Our love for craftsmanship and perfection is in every boomerang.
That is why every boomerang is handcrafted from high-quality wood in Germany, which takes a lot of time.
Our boomerangs are optimal. We can say this because we have received the molds from former boomerang world champion Heinz-Willi Dammers and subsequently trimmed and tested them hundreds of times for perfect flight, beginner-friendliness, and aesthetics. We are proud to invest the necessary time in each boomerang to perfect it, so we can give you our best.
Our boomerangs are made from high-quality Finnish birch plywood. As is common with the world's best boomerangs, it is multi-layered and cross-bonded: even boomerang world champions throw with this exact flight plywood. Our models are made from 4 mm thick wood with eight layers, and the Sydney model even has ten layers. This guarantees high stability and durability – while maintaining the necessary lightness for a perfect throw.
Protecting and preserving the environment is extremely important to us. That's why we source our wood and packaging exclusively from suppliers with FSC and PEFC certification for sustainable wood production, use our self-generated green electricity, and ship completely plastic-free. This makes our wooden boomerangs the perfect sustainable outdoor gift.

Hello, that's us!
This is us: Jürgen & Felix (JF)
Boomerangs are our favorite pastime: the fabulous throwing and improving, the precise craftsmanship with wood, and of course, quality father-son time. Now, this shop – and the small business behind it – has also become part of our boomerang enthusiasm. Every day we learn something new and enjoy our hobby. Here’s a brief introduction to the two of us:
Felix:
I am 21 years old and now study computer science. We published the first website when I was 15 years old and still in school. In the company, I take care of website and product design. I am also the production manager and throwing expert. So, if you have questions about making or throwing boomerangs, I'd be happy to answer them.
Jürgen:
I'm a few years older and I really enjoy building up our boomerang shop together with Felix. I take care of sealing the boomerangs with natural oil and shipping. I also take photos and videos for the website and handle our customers and accounting. For me, it's the perfect balance to my "normal" job in a large corporation.

Our wood and packaging are sourced exclusively from FSC- and PEFC-certified suppliers, we produce with green electricity, and we ship completely plastic-free. Sustainability is not an add-on for us, but a fundamental principle.
Every boomerang is handcrafted in our workshop in Munich – from cutting and sanding to oil sealing. Not mass-produced, but genuine craftsmanship with responsibility for every single piece.
Since our founding in 2021, we have been continuously throwing, testing, and improving our models. The basic shape comes from boomerang world champion Heinz-Willi Dammers – since then, we have further optimized it for perfect flight and beginner-friendliness.
We craft from high-quality Finnish birch plywood - multi-layered and cross-bonded, just like boomerang world champions use for their competition boomerangs. Our models consist of eight layers; the Sydney model even has ten.
